Big Boat Little Boats

I’ve brought the boys down to Weymouth on the south coast, we’re staying at BiL’s, my brother in laws. As Mr Uhdd is drawn to the hills, his brother in drawn to the sea. So he can tell me that this ship is called Clipper Sky and the dinghies, right of shot are from Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. The waters here will be the location for the sailing in the 2012 Olympics
I'm sure we will be visiting during the Olympics, our son Tom (now aged 14) tells me he might be able drive down, as he'll be driving by then. How can that be, that he will be old enough to drive, so soon? But then I need to face facts as Tom is staying down here next week, he's doing a weeks 'work experience' at a boat chandlers and marine engineers, my baby can't be so grown up can he?

What an absolutely stunning image. In comparison to the ship those sailboats look almost miniscule...and I bet they're really quite large and beautiful!!! Amazing how quickly our baby boys grow into young men. Time has a way of too-quickly passing. Lovely post!!!!
I've got to admit that I nearly missed the tiny sailboats. They certainly add a sense of scale to the Clipper Sky. Interesting and enjoyable image!
It's interesting that just last week my husband and I commented that 10 years from now our GRANDson would be driving. Where does time go?
lovely image. London 2012, that a good idea to visit.
What a gorgeous photo. And yes, our boys grow way too quickly...
yes, they sure do grow up more quickly than it seems. Life truly is short. Really nice dramatic colours in this image.
Such a gorgeous capture, Uhdd. Yes, our boys do grow up, learn to drive, go to college, establish careers, get married. Next up is babies!! :) Enjoy this time now - it passes so quickly.
What a perfect image to tell the story of how quickly our kids grow up, UHDD! And the 2012 Olympics? WAIT. I'm still trying to get through this one. HA!
This is like a painting. Absolutely beautiful.
They grow up too fast and then comes the grandkids and they grow even faster ;-) Beautiful image.
